Red Desert is a dance performance for three dancers exploring the different bodily states of aggression. In this work aggression in its diversity acts as a starting point for virtuosic movement, bodily states and composition. The piece treats aggression as a bodily event, a multidisciplinary, universal and dynamic phenomenon that resonates against the performers’ experience horizon.
The world of the piece is inspired by Clarissa Pinkola Estés's book "Women Who Walk with Wolves" (1992), which deals with the archetypes of the wild woman in myths and stories.
